Our Story

In 1964, Michigan State graduate David Zagaroli started his career by moving to North Carolina to work with the local furniture manufactures in the community. Once established David created his freelance furniture design firm, Zagaroli and Company, in 1970. Since that time the company has worked with both domestic and international clients resulting in the design of a wide array of diverse products. David’s son, Charlie Zagaroli, graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Furniture Design in 2000 and relocated back to North Carolina.  Charlie also worked with a local manufacturer for many years before joining his father at Zagaroli & Company. In 2012, Zagco was born as a derivative company continuing to offer a wide array of creative services and consultation.

Tish studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated in the spring of 1999 with a BFA in Fiber Arts.  From there she located back to North Carolina where she joined the in house design team at a new state of the art jacquard weaving mill.  Her love of textiles, especially color and pattern development, grew, and she eventually became the Creative Director of Circa, a high-end fabric division of Valdese Weavers.  After almost 18 years in fabric design, merchandising, and management Tish joined Charlie’s long established furniture design firm in 2017.

“Together we specialize in providing our clients with a full range of design services to enable product development for the furniture and textile industries.  With the foundation of almost 50 years of combined design experience, outside of the box conceptualization skills and the most current technologies, we look forward to growing new relationships and creating design solutions that work for the ever changing and revolving home furnishings market.”
